Activities

At the Curaçao Dolphin Academy, visitors get the opportunity to meet dolphins and swim, snorkel, or even dive with these special animals in 6 different programs. There are suiting programs for everybody!

For a first meeting, there is the Dolphin Encounter, a program for all ages. In this program, visitors get to know the dolphin up close and personal while they are standing on a platform in the water about waist deep. The trainer will tell all about the dolphin, who of course will thank the visitors for all their attention and petting with a big kiss and a hug.

For the ultimate experience there is the Curacao Dolphin Swim. This program offers a unique experience where the dolphin will swim next to the participant so he or she can pet it. The swimmers will also give signals to the dolphins, who will start singing, spinning, waving, and much more. The highlight of the Dolphin Swim is the Dorsal Ride, where two dolphins will pick up the swimmers and give them a ride on their dorsal fins.

In 1984, the Curaçao Seaquarium was developed. This unique complex -- built on the oceanfront at Bapor Kibral. It has a healthy coral reef just a stone’s throw from the entrance and makes a great family outing. This beautiful aquarium complex is one of the most unique in the world because of its "open-water-system" -- meaning that seawater is continuously pumped into the aquariums. During visiting hours, the aquariums, theatre, and museum are open to the public, and you can enjoy watching feeding shows. Part of the fun learning experience of our Curaçao sea aquarium is a big “touch tank” for touching live animals.

During the feeding shows, you can touch the animals and learn more about them. For some real fun, you can snorkel or scuba dive and hand-feed stingrays, sea turtles, sharks, and many other colorful tropical fish. The Curaçao Ostrich Farm is not only one of the biggest farms in the Caribbean, it’s even one of the biggest outside of Africa. It offers an interesting view at how ostriches live and breed. Stand Up Paddle Surfing

Stand Up Paddle Surfing (SUP) is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. The sport originates in the Hawaiian islands, where in the 1960s, locals would paddle out to sea on their long boards and take pictures of tourists who were learning how to surf.
